Unknown variety of crocus.
Another crocus.
Part shade, part sun. I have another that is focused opposite of this one, but I think I like this one the best.
An unknown variety of crocus, with unknown companions. Loved the colors here, and the broken sunlight patterns.
The VR 105mm Micro Nikkor lens is great for these small flowers. Ground level shot here.

Nice little grouping of spring flowers.
Grape hyacinth, at close range.
Not sure what this is called either, but brand new buds just starting to bloom.
Yet one more Jade Vine (Strongylodron Macrobotrys) blossom. I have tried hard to do the colors justice, not very successfully either. This is a very striking blossom in terms of color subtlety and gradation. This photo is so far my best effort at capturing same.
Your basic rosebuds.

It's a jungle in there...the botanic gardens that is. They were misting, and I loved the look of it, so here it is.

Apologies to Vincent Versace, I wasn't really trying to copy your shot. I just saw it and took it, but without your own commentary ;-). Just in case he see's this :-)

This isn't really a macro shot, but I loved the colors. The yellow ones were quite tasty too :-) From a farmers market in Vancouver, WA.

A little bit of color on an ordinarily drab military base here in Afghanistan.
