I learned to first take photos on a Nikon FM (circa 1981?), a fully manual camera, no autofocus, no aperture priority, none of the black arts gadgetry that we are all so familiar with today. I cherish this early learning, and it comes in handy even using my trusty D2X with all its bells and whistles. I love the new technology despite my remark about black arts.
I have been blessed to have travelled nearly all the way around the world, and hope to do more of it. We'll be posting more photos of the places I've been, and the places I hope to visit.
I normally work as a paramedic in Colorado, but I am currently on deployment in Afghanistan. I hope to make photography into a living in the near future.
Comments are welcome, as long as they are constructive of course! :-)
